A centrifuge separator uses centrifugal force to separate substances of different densities. By spinning at high speeds, the centrifuge separates the heavier substance from the lighter substance.

Magnetic separators use magnets to separate ferrous metals from non-ferrous metals. Magnets are attracted to ferrous metals, so the ferrous metals are pulled away from the non-ferrous metals.
